Question 1

WHAT IS CRITHIT LAUNCHER ALSO CALLED?

Accepted Answer

The name of our project is CritHit Launcher.

In the gaming community, forums, and search engines, the launcher is also commonly known as CritHit, Crit Hit Launcher, or Крит Хит Лаунчер. All these names refer to the same ultimate Minecraft launcher application.

Question 2

WHY IS THE LAUNCHER NOT FULLY OPEN SOURCE?

Accepted Answer

The main launcher core, user interface, and developer SDK are open source and available on GitHub. However, certain key modules remain closed for the following reasons:

1. Security of CritHit Pay API & Overlay
In-game payment and micro-transaction systems require strict cryptographic protection. Closed-source overlay prevents third-party malicious code injection, payment token forgery, and server private key leaks.

2. Built-in Anticheat CritHit Guard
To ensure fair play on partner servers, RAM scanning algorithms and cheat detection patterns remain confidential to prevent cheat developers from analyzing and bypassing them.

3. Protected Cloud Sync CritHit Cloud
Proprietary encryption guarantees user Microsoft sessions are safe and prevents client data interception.

We adhere to the standards of leading gaming platforms: open public frontend and dev tools, but robustly protected financial and anticheat infrastructure.

Question 3

IS IT SAFE TO BUY MODPACKS FROM YOU?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely safe. All purchases are transparent and protected by our ecosystem:

1. Lifetime Microsoft ID Binding
The license for every purchased project or modpack is permanently tied directly to your official Microsoft account. Purchases cannot be lost, reset, or canceled.

2. Access From Anywhere
All your purchased builds and digital content instantly appear in your unified CritHit library. Even if you switch computers or reinstall the system, simply log in with your Microsoft account — and your entire collection is ready to play in 1 click.

3. CritHit Cloud Protection
Your saves, progress, and settings inside purchased builds are automatically synced to the cloud.

Question 4

IS SELLING MODPACKS REALLY LEGAL?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on our platform it is 100% legal.

We strictly comply with the commercial EULA policies of Mojang / Microsoft and developer copyrights:

1. We do not sell Minecraft or game files itself
Users purchase author modpacks and services accessible exclusively to licensed Minecraft owners via Microsoft OAuth.

2. Author Protection & Exclusive Content
Modpack developers monetize their intellectual property — original lore, custom configurations, scripts, custom textures, and unique mechanics created from scratch.

3. Transparent CritHit Pay API
We provide a payment infrastructure directly connecting content creators with players, eliminating piracy and grey donation schemes.

Question 5

IS A MINECRAFT LICENSE REQUIRED AND HOW DOES LOGIN WORK?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a license is mandatory.

CritHit Launcher strictly complies with Mojang Studios and Microsoft Corporation policies. Login is only possible via Microsoft OAuth 2.0 authentication.

Before every launch, the launcher verifies game ownership via official Entitlement APIs. There are no pirated modes, offline logins, or alternative authentication servers.

Question 6

IS MY PERSONAL DATA AND PASSWORD SECURE?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.

Upon logging in, you enter your credentials on the official Microsoft page. The launcher only receives an encrypted session token. Your passwords and personal data are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

There are zero ads, zero hidden miners, trackers, or third-party scripts in the launcher.

Question 7

HOW DOES CRITHIT LAUNCHER DIFFER FROM OTHER LAUNCHERS?

Accepted Answer

CritHit Launcher is a modern next-gen native application:

1. Tauri + Rust Native Stack
Unlike heavy Electron or Java launchers, CritHit weighs under 40 MB, launches in 0.5 seconds, and uses almost zero RAM during gameplay.

2. Direct Integration with CurseForge & Modrinth
Search and install mods, shaders, and resource packs in 1 click.

3. .critpack Format
Builds can combine mods simultaneously from multiple catalogs.

4. CritHit Cloud
Automatic cloud sync for worlds and settings.

5. CritHit Pay API & Overlay
In-game purchases of passes and cosmetics.

Question 8

WHERE ARE MODS AND EXECUTABLES DOWNLOADED FROM?

Accepted Answer

All mods and resources are downloaded exclusively from official sources:

1. CritHit Store
Branded exclusive builds and community projects

2. Modrinth
Modern open mod platform

3. CurseForge (Overwolf)
Largest mod catalog

Minecraft game files and executable jars are downloaded directly from official Mojang and Microsoft servers.

Question 9

WHAT IS THE .CRITPACK FORMAT AND ITS ADVANTAGES?

Accepted Answer

.critpack is an innovative universal modpack format developed by CritHit.

It contains an optimized manifest listing all dependencies. The main advantage is combining mods from both Modrinth and CurseForge in a single build without platform restrictions and without violating author licenses.

Question 10

HOW DOES CRITHIT CLOUD SYNC WORK?

Accepted Answer

CritHit Cloud creates real-time encrypted backups of your saved worlds, key bindings, graphics settings, and custom profiles.

If you switch PCs or play at a friend's place, the launcher instantly restores your entire collection in 1 click.

Question 11

HOW DOES SMART BURSTING AND SERVER HOSTING WORK?

Accepted Answer

Our innovative hosting runs on powerful Ryzen 9 9950X processors with Smart Bursting technology.

During load spikes (giant map generation, massive PvP battles, heavy automation builds), the hypervisor automatically allocates spare compute cores, guaranteeing stable 20.0 TPS without drops.

Question 12

HOW TO CONNECT MY SERVER TO CRITHIT PAY API?

Accepted Answer

Server owners and developers can obtain an API key on the 'For Developers' page.

By integrating our native SDK, you can sell private passes, cosmetics, and donation packages directly in-game in 1 click via native overlay with CritHit Pay support.
